In the modern era of globalisation where the mode of customer service marches quarterly and insidiously to the inexorable drum beat of gradgrindian efficiency, it is rare to be the beneficiary of truly outstanding customer service. Moreover, at a time when genuine engagement and symbiotic solicitude, once intrinsic characteristics of the relationship between vendors and purchasers, innkeepers and guests, and patrons and citizens, seem to have faded into extinction, the rare display of such vestigial qualities is an exotic bird in the woods of commerce.

Less than one week ago, I purchased a case of Kingfisher Strong imported Indian beer from your company, PMDLiquor, which, I have since discovered, is based in Victoria. I chose to purchase the beer from PMDLiquor for no other reason than that your company stocked a brand of Indian beer that hitherto I had been unable to find at any Australia supplier. The case arrived in less than a week. It was what occurred after the delivery of my consignment, however, that astonished me.

The next morning, I received a delivery of two bottles of Haywards 5000 premium Indian beer. I had not ordered this beer. My initial bewilderment was resolved after reading the note attached to the parcel, which read: "PMDLiquor Wishes you a great Weekend!" As a Sydney corporate lawyer it is not often I write letters expressing sentiments of adulation rather than admonishment. This is one such occasion.
Your gesture to me represents, unquestionably, the apogee of the customer relations. It is something I have not borne witness to in some time, and am profoundly impressed. In the times of darkness, isolation and fear that this pandemic has precipitated, your business stands as a beacon of Amon Dîn and deserves exaltation. On behalf of all the people who drank the beers you supplied, thank you. Needless to say, I shall be buying more cases of Kingfisher Strong, and other alcohol, from PMDLiquor for many years to come.
